Tennessee comes up with him at times, Middle
Tennessee, I think. Many old timers moved often for many reasons. The
Cumberland River, with headwaters in southeast
Kentucky, flows past Nashville. There is a
Perry County,
KY and
Perry County, TN, I think. His time was in the mid 1800's? You may also find Charlie
Brewer, deceased of
Hazard,
KY, and very strong Indian appearance, of interest. Charlie died about 1970, or so. The
Wolfe County,
KY links to The Cherokee Nation are very real. The
Swift Mine legends in
Wolfe County are most interesting, too. The
Shawnee knew that moving too far into the
Kentucky Cherokee mountains was most dangerous. The statues and medals and coins found in the
Pine Mountain caves south of
Wolfe County are of ancient origin with links, in my opinion, to the Shaman
Priest Class of Old Cherokee Nation It is possible that there was more than one "Swift's Mine." See the site:
