Chester Parks, 77, of 1145 Hobbs Road, Campton, died Saturday, February 7, 1998, at his residence, of a
heart attack. Mr. Parks, son of the late Alfred and Laura Brewer Parks, was a native of Breathitt County, Kentucky, a veteran
of World War II, and a retired employee of Wolfe County. He attended the church of God. Survivors include his wife, Virginia
Sexton Parks; five sons, Ira "Porky" Parks, Robert Parks, Gary Parks, and Chester Jr. Parks, all of Campton, and Arlie Parks
of Middletown, Ohio; five daughters, Shirley Hurt of Somerville, South Carolina, Mary Rose, Barbara Robinson, Marilyn
Burton, all of Campton, and Patricia McKinney of Xenia, Ohio; one sister, Edna Fugate of Jackson; 19 grandchildren and 12
great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, February 9, at Porter and Son Funeral Directors
Chapel with Rev. Kelly Flinchum officiating. Burial followed in Evans Cemetery at Campton with Porter and Son Funeral
Directors of Campton in charge of arrangements.
