I have been looking for you too. Awhile back you posted this marriage record from Wayne Co., KY:
Melton, Nathan and Betsy Hammond, surety George Hammond. married 6 December, 1807 by Nicholas Loyd JP. Endorsement on bond; "George Hammond personally gave his consent and proved the Execution of the certificate in the person of John Melton:" Note; 5 September, 1807------
We do certify that we are consentive for Nathan Melton and Nancy Hammond to be married given under our hands this day by John Melton and George Hammond.
Do you remember? Where did you get this record? I need it for my sources. Also the record states at the end that "...consentive for Nathan Melton and Nancy Hammond..."
Is Nancy what it states or is this a transcription error?
