In my family tree, there is the family name Burris. Additionally, you show as a DNA match to me. Our Predicted relationship: 4th Cousins. The reason I traced Burris side of family was to connect us to a common African link, as all Burris DNA links to me show traces of African. I show 1% Northern African. I believe I found her. She most likely passed as a Native American when marrying into the Burris family. I don’t have Native American in my genetic makeup.
The below may not be entirely accurate, until I can get it authenticated. The John C Burris I found below died in Paint Township, Ohio. I do find a burial matching his name at Burris cemetery in Hamilton County, Indiana.
