I am hunting for information on the following murders (as well as iinformation on the families themselves):

1. Mary J. "Polly" Crabtree born ca 1866, dau of Henderson and Lavina (Ramsey) Crabtree married JONES(OR JAMES?) E. WORLEY. He was supposedly killed by JOHN CLARK by 1920 census. Does anyone know anything about the circumstances surrounding this murder?
(The only children I show for the Worleys are: Vina E. born 1895; Oda L born 1904; Minnie H. born 1907; India W. born 10-3-1909 died 2-18-1938 married Virgil Davenport; buried Dobbs Cemetery. Does anyone have any further info on other children or on these children?)

2. Emily E. Crabtree born 18 June 1872 died 1 Dec 1935(buried Dobbs Cem), daughter of Henderson and Lavina (Ramsey) Crabtree; married 1) John V. Martin who died on 20 Oct 1904 and is buried in Dobbs Cemetery - circumstances of death not known. She then married 2) LOUIS/LEWIS A. GREGORY 30 June 1906 Wayne Co., KY, son of J. B. Gregory and Polly Anderson. He was born 11-2-1878 and died 7 Sept 1909. He was supposedly killed by IKE CLARK.
The annotated 1920 census states: "Lewis & Ike Clark had a shooting(?) match at elections(?). Clark was killed instantly. Lewis died about 8 days after."
Does anyone know anything about this shooting? Was there some kind of feud going on that two CRABTREE sisters should lose their husbands by the hands of CLARK men? Who were the children of Emily E. (Crabtree) Martin Gregory?
