I'm looking for information on Charles Thomas Girten (b. Mar. 16, 1843-?)a 4th great uncle to me. He was born at St. Vincent's in Union Co., son of Charles and Mary Girten. He was a Confederate soldier in Co. F, 10th KY Cavalry along with his brother Valentine. Thomas' last known date of service in the C.S. Army was May 26, 1863 as a POW, after which I have been unable to find any records on him, whether he made it home,married, when he died.
Does anyone on this board have any further data on Charles Thomas Girten

Several years back, I received an email from another Girten researcher who indicated that Charles Thomas died sometime after 1880. However, like you, I have not been able to find any documentary evidence of him after his war service. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.
