I have been researching my Williams line of Shelby but, have found no Fleming as son to Garland. His, I "think" brother (yet to prove Garland brother to Fleming & Thomas but very close in age) Thomas had a son Fleming b Jan 3, 1852 d 8-8-1915. So far not found the exact birth or death dates for Fleming born same time frame as Garland and Thomas. Garland b 1811, Thomas b 1816 so Fleming probably between. Fleming married Julia Ann Mitchell and when he passed she married Thomas Williams. She had 2 sons with Fleming (one my ancestor James) then 7 with Thomas on of them was named Fleming (dates above). Ive not gotten real far on this line yet but still working.. :-) Hope some of this was of help. BTW Garland m Harriet Mitchell 7-15-1833, Thomas married wd of Fleming 12-22-1842 both in Shelby Co.
