I am searching for the parents of Furtney (Fertney) Brown b 1800 m Susan Hardesty daughter of Caleb Hardesty, John Jackson Brown b 1804 m Julia Maddox and Granville C. Brown b 1810 m Laura Maddox. The Maddox ladies were daughters of Nelson Maddox. The census has all three men as born KY. Furtney was in the 1821 and 1823 tax records of Nelson Co. KY on Simpson Creek. I think the part that was taken into Spencer Co., as the three of them were also married in Spencer Co. KY. Furtney m 1824, John Jackson m 1834 and Granville C. m 1830 Furtney was the sheriff of Mt Eden for a short time. Granville was mentioned in the Taylorville Baptist Church Reords in Spencer Co "Received Brother Granville C. Brown by Experience" .
