Ernest C. Collins, 82, of Franklin, OH, husband of Seba W. Collins passed away September 20, 2008 in Lexington, KY after a brief illness. He was born in Pikeville, KY, the son of Benjamin Franklin Collins. Ernest Collins was a Veteran of the United States Navy and honorably served his country in World War II in the South Pacific Theatre. Ernest made a home and raised his family in Middletown, OH where he was a lifelong member of The Breiel Boulevard and Towne Boulevard Church of God. He retired after a 25 year career in the engineering department of Monsanto Corporation in Miamisburg (OH). He and his wife also enjoyed a winter home in Mt. Dora, FL where they are members of Mt. Dora Presbyterian Church. Mr. Collins was a Freemason and was inducted to that brotherhood in 1952. He was a member of the Lincoln and Processer Chapter #367 of the Middletown Masonic Lodge. Ernest was conferred the 32nd degree of the Scottish Rite. Ernest is survived by his wife of 61 years Seba W. Collins; his son Ernest David Collins of Lebanon, OH; his daughter Dr. Pamela Collins of Lexington, KY; and two adored grandchildren, Joseph David Collins and Clinton James Collins of Lebanon, OH. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered and very deeply missed by his family and friends. Visitation for friends and family will be at the Baker Stevens Funeral Home on September 23, 2008 from 12:00 noon until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ralph Turner officiating.
