I am looking for info on my fathers first wife, and a son that I was told that they had, his name might have been James Samuel Elrod, my fathers name was Lyman Elrod, he worked in the Blue Diamond Coal mine in Perry Co in the 1930's-1950. He was listed as divorced on the marriage records of him and my mother Della Mullins. My dad's cousin said that they did have a son, and believed that it was name mentioned above. He also said that the wife just up and left while my Dad was at work, and that it was believed to have been because she was homesick. Would love to find my brother, if he exist.

My grandmother is Mallie Elrod she knows your father. He was a first cousin to my grandfather Fred Elrod. She does not remember your father having a first wife and does not recall hearing of a son.
