Noah E. Deaton, age 64, of MIDDLETOWN, OH passed away June 18, 2009 at his residence. He was born October 31, 1944 in Blue Diamond, KY to Robert and Edra (Cornett) DEATON. He was an assembler for General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1999. Noah was a member of Christian Enterprise Baptist Church; Kentucky Colonel; avid UK fan and golfer; member of Lincoln Lodge #693- 32degree Master Mason; Ancient accepted Scottish Rites Free Masonry of Cincinnati; Eastern Star Prosser Chapter 36. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Victoria Lynn DEATON Adkins in 1997; grandchildren, Jeffrey Eldon Adkins in 2000 and Zachory William DEATON in 1997; brother, Bill DEATON in 1971. Noah is survived by his wife of 44 years, Wanda Gayle Deaton; son, William "Bill" (Nicole) DEATON of Loveland, OH; daughter, Kendra (Pete) Phillips of VA; grandson, William "Scott" (Lauren) Adkins of MIDDLETOWN, OH; 9 loving grandchildren, Megan, Morgan, Zach, Kathryn, Tyler, Jessica, Lilli, Bailey and Alli; sisters, Bernice Porter of KY, Lois Gilstrap of AL, Iris (Charles) Gilliam of OH; brothers, John (Sue) DEATON of Batavia, OH, Glen DEATON of KY and Thomas (Jackie) DEATON of FL and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He will be missed by many friends, neighbors and loved ones. Visitation will be held June 21, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 PM with Scottish Rite Ring Ceremony. A Celebration of Life Service will be held June 22, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. James R. Anderson officiating. Internment will be at Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice Care of MIDDLETOWN, 1131 Manchester Avenue, MIDDLETOWN, OH 45042 or Charity of One's Choice or Christian Enterprise Baptist Church, 405 Gideon Road, MIDDLETOWN, OH 45044.
