This weekend, I returned to visit, Open Door Childrens Home, now renamed New Tribe Mission. My mother, Nancy Ruth Holland Gillum was one of the original orphans placed in the Ragsdale's first children home, 1940. I was told by the caretaker there was a reunion recently, and also Mother Ragsdale had written a book on the home. I would love to find this book, and would appreciate any help.

My mom was in the home in 1939-1951. She was in another
childrens home, and went there when Mother and Father
Ragsdale, visited and ran her home for a while.
The first three girls were her friends, that started the
Open Door Childrens Home. In the diary, Musdale called them her big girls.
I have not been down there in a while. We visited the
home, around 7 to 8 years ago.
