Hello,
Athough this is a very old message I wondered if you have any new information on additional children of John McPherson and Elizabeth Makemson. On the census of 1850 Whitley IN, John McPherson is listed with Levina McPherson. We assumed this was his daughter. Above his name is Solomon McPherson and his family. We are descendants of Solomon McPherson and assumed that John McPherson listed on this census was his father and that Levina was a sister. We would appreciated any new information that you could provide us wih. thank you Barbara R.

Steve,
I just added a few more pictures of G Grandmother Rosalie Warden to my Ancestry.com website. Have you had a chance to look at it yet?
I found a note that provides the birthplace of Ann King (Forbes) in Scotland but I haven't researched it any further.
Let me know if you have any additional information, esp photos and documents.
You can contact me at jamyers@swbell.net.
Thanks, and hope that all is well.
-=Alan Myers

Hey cousin, Alan Myers here. My grandfather was H.V. Warden, Whitney's brother.

I'm trying to get all of our family pictures and documents organized and uploaded to my computer as well as to Ancestry.com. Check out my Myers family tree for photos and information on the Wardens and the Forbes.

I have a copy of a two sentence obituary for Charles H. Forbes that says that he died in Finney County, Kansas along with the date. This week I sent that information to the Finney County Genealogical Society and asked them if they could provide any additional information. If I hear back from you I'll let you know what they find.

I still have a lot of pictures to scan and upload so I'll be posting more information during the next few months.

Hope that all is well with your family.

J. Lucy's daughter named Amanda married her cousin, Dr. John Angell and is buried in a rural cemetery in Boone County which has been destroyed.

Sorry to say, today I couldn't find James and Bea's marriage license in Falmouth. Strange, because I picked up my g-grandmother's and she married in 1897. I then called the Bracken courthouse and they did a check for me. No marriage there, either. If according to the information given to Mr. Barton, they were not married in 1942, but were partners they married sometime after that. Could have gone to Campbell Co., I guess, but seems you have a mystery on your hands since you said you visited in the 40s.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. Let me know if I can do anything else for you in the area.

Yes,
I think so. John Makemson, Revolutionary War Veteran (b 1745?, Ireland, d. 1814 Pendelton, County, Kentucky)
About 1780, the surviving Makemson family, homesteaded in Kentucky.
Eldest brother John Makemson, purchased land (1795) in Harrison County, and later Pendelton County.
There was a cholera epidemic c. 1833, and John's oldest son Andrew, and Andrew's second wife, Elizabeth Hand Makemson, were among the victums.
Elizabeth Hand's relatives took the surviving children and raised them in Pendelton County.
Andrew's oldest son William Makemson, became the progenitor of the Makemsons that live in Morgan, Kentucky today.
I am writing this while visiting, and my papers are at home! So I hope I am remembering correctly! Also, the name Purdy, sounds familiar.
My email address is abenormal@verizon.net.
Let me know if this helps!
James Harrison Colegrove and Bea Power Colegrove owned a store and lived in Carntown, sometime in the 40's. I can remember riding the Blue Ribbon Bus Lines to a certain point
close to Carntown, and then walking the rest of the way down a dirt road to where the store was and houses were there. Not many houses, but a few were there. Jim killed himself there, and Aunt Bea moved back to Brooksville.
Maybe someone will remember them.

The Gardnersville Christian church and cemetery are about 2 miles on the right side of the road. We were just there about a month ago. They were building a handicap access to the church. My wife has some Kennedy relatives buried there.

The marriages of Marshall Jones/Scytha Reno and Gaden Jones/Polly Reno were attested by a Garrard Jones. Can anyone tell me if there is a connection between Garrard Jones and Marshall Jones Sr? Also, I have seen multiple Bourbon County, Ky deeds and wills that were signed by Garrard Jones DCBC. Can anyone tell me what "DCBC" is? Forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject. I did find a Garrard Jones in Bourbon, KY. He is son to a Thomas Jones and Affia Ashurst. I also found a 1813 marriage record for Garrard Jones and Ann Richie. I still cannot find a common link to Marshall,Gaden and Garrard. I am a descendent of Marshall Jones through his son, James Harvey Jones (who married Angeline Lowe). Thanks for your time. sabanto
I'm just curious. Is your Sellers family also from Pendleton Co.? The only reason I ask is, just down from my g-grandfather's farm on Big Kincaid Creek, is a smaller creek called Seller's Run. Just wondered if there was a connection.
I'll let you know what I find next week.

I almost forgot. Dorothy Marksberry was also my aunt through my grandfather Buene. They were brother and sister.
