The Makemson family first settled in Harrison Co. & then on to Pendelton Co. & intermarried with many of the other early families there. Would love to contact any of these descendants.
Robert Makemson apparently had a small plantation there. The Civil War brought ruin to the family. Some of his children, John, James, Nancy & their families migrated to S.E. Kansas, Neosho Co. John's wife was Margaret Wells, d/o Jeremiah

Angell, etc

I have also been studying this line, esp. the HUME line as I am about to put the HUME lineage on my website which has the Benson family descendants in early northern KY. Stripling's mother was Sarah Benson, sister to my ancestor. I did not have Elizabeth Angel's death date or any birth info. Was wondering what documentation you have on that? The HUME and Benson families play prominant rolls in Pendleton Co., KY. As for Elizabeth's parents, I have George Angele/Angell as her father; this was found in her marriage bond to Stripling HUME in Pendleton Co., KY. I have 7, possibly 8, children listed for Elizabeth and Stripling HUME.

I'm also researching the families of Stripling Hume and Elizabeth Angell. I don't have anything on her other than her marriage date in Pendleton Co., KY and the names of her known children. I would be interested in exchanging notes with you, if you'd like. Please contact me at my email address. Thanks.
