Surnames: Makemson, Davis
I am a Makemson desandant. John Makemson of Logan County Ohio, married Ariel Davis also of Logan County, Ohio, Dec. 9th 1811. The family history says "according to family tradition, Ariel Davis was related to Jefferson Davis of the Confederacy". The family later lived in Kosciusko Countyy, Illinos. One of their daughters was my great gradmother Adeline Makemson. We do not know how Ariel was related to Jeffeerson Davis. One of John and Ariel Makemson's sons, was named Robert. Does any of this fit?
