Where to go to find records?

I have looked all through the Pendleton county genweb site but couldn't find an answer this this, so thought I would post.

I seem to have reached the limit of what records I can find through Genweb and Ancestry.com. I am planning a trip to Kentucky in a few weeks, and am hoping to get to Pendleton county. I am wondering where the best place is to go to look things up, especially vital records. The county clerk? library? Does the historical society have a location where records are kept?

I'd appreciate some input! Thanks :)

Definately go to the Library.....they have a room there full of books to use for research, and they also have file cabinets with genealogical family records.

Across the street from the library is the county courthouse. In the county clerk's office are all the old court records, deed books, etc. Remember they close at noon on Saturday's.
