My sister Joan says Elliott Bell was her husband's mail man when he was a child. They lived in the Morgan area and above the line going to Harrison County. My oldest sister lives about 40 minutes from me and we will get together on these names and get back with you. How do you put those picts in your message. I can't paste a photo in here for you of Eliza Ann Jones Roberts. Bev

Brad,
The photo showing a group of people was not overlooked. It was exciting to see the other photos that I did not mention the group pict. I don't know about the group but will print and send to cousin Henry Aulick in Falmouth, perhaps he will recognize someone. I just can't tell you how much we appreciate these photos, they mean a lot. Bev

This is so cool. It tickles me to death that the pictures are making connections for you! I don't think that Percy Bell is in my line, but the mail carrier Elliott Bell is. Elliott was the brother of my grandfather on my dad's side. My grandfather's name was Edgar Bell and he was also a mail carrier in the Boyd/Berry area. Edgar's wife (Christine (Knox) Bell) was most likely the photographer of most of these photos and they came from her belongings. She passed away in 1983.
Elliott's daughter Ruth Bell Earlywine is still living (in Gainesville Florida) and my mom stays in touch with her. Ruth is big into the ancestry thing but she doesn't see well anymore. She will be thrilled to hear about our correspondence and she may have additional information on your line as well.
You made my day!!!

If you don't mind, what is Joan's husband's name? I would like to mention it to Elliott's daughter Ruth. She may know/remember him.

Thank you.

Brad,
I see the attachments, good grief. It was just a fluke that I came across Ella Roberts Aulick picture and then I literally "stumbled" across the rest. I'm attaching a photo of my dad when he graduated from Holmes High School in Covington. I took the images to Latonia Kroger this am and had photos made and will send to my sisters. Joan mentioned Christine Knox Bell. So I need to tell her about the connection. Her husband name is Angell and he knows a lot of families and histories and his mother was a Gruelle. She is no longer living but could have told you about just about anyone in Pendleton County and "beyond". How is Christine Knox Bell related to the Roberts/Aulick? Or was she a close friend? Its just unreal to see our dad's pictures when he was so little. Ask Ruth if she rememebers the Angell's (sounds like Angel), Stone family, Gruelles?

Hi Bev,

I don't think Christine was related to the Aulick/Roberts, probably just a friend. In such a small community I would guess everyone knew everyone. :-)
I'm going to pass along everything you have said to Ruth and hopefully it will ring a Bell (pun intended :-).

I'll be back in touch after I have spoken to her.
Thank you.

Just thought I'd jump in here, Brad.
Percy was the son of Thomas Bell and Sally Clifford (Daisy Clifford's sister). I have no idea where Thomas came from or how/if he fits in with your Bell's. Percy married a girl named Irene, but I have no further info on them.

Thanks Dave!
I think Thomas might have been the son of John Bell and a Sarah Sally Polk, but I haven't done any serious digging. On a similar note, I haven't been able to tie that line of Bell's with mine, but again I really haven't explored that path.

Hope things are going well with you!
