I too am a descendant of the Old John Dougherty of Pendleton Co. There are several John's. Also there was a John in the Falmouth area early, that I have never been able to connect to ours, but sure they must be of the same family.

Daugherty may be the one from Harrison Co, KY...parents: Alexander Daugherty & Permelia Dunn....some of the other children of Permelia, widow in 1850 Harrison also showed up with John D. in 1860 Pendleton....ran into this family trying to track down my Daugertys and Clevelands in Harrison Co...
