I have created a few new web sites that might be of interest to Ohio County researchers. I decided to try to place my research on the web in order to share what I have with you. So, please take a look at the following sites (you will have to copy and paste the URL's because Rootsweb doesn't permit the actual link to be active):

1. Ohio County, Kentucky History- This site contains general info. This site has multiple pages, so you have to click on the various months shown under the words Blog Archive. If you have an article, photo, or document that you want me to add to this site, please send it to me as an email attachment.

2. Leach Family in Kentucky – This is about my Leach ancestors from Maryland and Ohio County.

3. Leach Obituaries – As of today there are 59 obit’s for members of the Leach family from Ohio County. If you have any others, please send them to me and I will place them on this list. http://leachobituaries.blogspot.com/

4. Maps of Ohio County – A few old maps I found on the internet.

5. and 6. Dr. Leonard Thomas Cox and Thomas Jefferson Cox (two different sites) – These two sites are articles written by a friend of mine, Janice Cox Brown, about some of her Ohio County ancestors.

7. Ralph Ringwood – A wonderful tale written by Washington Irving that describes life in Ohio County in the early 1800’s. http://ralphringwood.blogspot.com/

8. A Taylor-Ramey Memoir – Written by Gladys Likens Rumage.

9. The Taylor Family – Written by H. D. Taylor in 1875.

In addition you will find links to interesting sites that I did not create, such as the wonderful site about the Southard Family; the site containing photos that was created by Joe Taylor; a site about the Barnett Family and Barnett’s Station, one of the earliest outposts in Ohio County; a History of the Taylor Family by Nat Taylor; an interesting story about visiting cemeteries in Ohio County by Nat Taylor; a list of biographies of people from Ohio County; the Rootsweb site about Ohio County; the Daviess County Library site that has area obituaries from the Owensboro newspapers as early as 1842; and the Library of Congress web site where you can search by keyword and read digitized copies of the Hartford Herald and Hartford Republican from 1875 to 1926.
