John Sanderson, Sr. (wife Mary) appeared in Nicholas Co.
KY from its inception in court minutes as overseer of road,
jury duty, etc. They had at least these children: John G.,
Jane, Robert, Elizabeth. John G. Sanderson m. Ibby (Isabella) Galbreath 24 Dec. 1800, one of the county's
earliest marriages. Their children were-at least-Mary M.,
Elizabeth, Catherine, and 3 sons. John Sr. d. by 1810,
John Jr. and family moved to Clinton Co., Ohio by 1820.
Where are these people from?

John Mitchell, a wheelright, was b. Ireland ca 1760, and
lived in NC, E. TN, KY, Mid TN, KY, and moved to Ohio in
1807. In 1806, his dau. Elvira m. Aaron Carnahan in Nicholas Co>Co, KY. I believe he's the John Mitchell with wife Agnes
mentioned in Nicholas Co. court minutes; perhaps he's the
John Mitchell listed more than once in the Central KY
militia list of 1786 (Draper Manuscripts). His son, also
John, m. Mary M. Sanderson, dau of John Jr., above, in Ohio.
Anyone working on these people?

I am related to a Benjamin Galbreath and Elizabeth Sanderson m 24 Nov 1808. Since they are listed on the same marriage page as your Sanderson and Ibby Galbreath, they may have been related. Any idea?
