Hello, I am researching the descendants of Raphael Leake 1785-1874. He married Helen Medley Feb 5, 1806 in Washington Co., KY and later her sister Catherine Mar 20,1851 in Marion Co., KY. Raphael moved to Ralls Co., MO were he is buried. I am related through his 3rd son, William Murphy Leake, born Oct 8,1814 at Rolling Fork River, Hardin Co.,KY. Two other sons, Nicholas Greene Leake and Raphael Constantine Leake were graduated from the U of Louisville Medical School in 1855. Nicholas practiced in the local area and drowned in 1883 in the Lebanon area. Nicholas's son Joseph 1864-96 was also a doctor who practiced in the New Haven area.

I am trying to construct a family tree to include the present generation.

I see you mention a Fowler in your list of surnames. Which Fowler are you looking for. I am searching for Zachariah Fowler who is on the Nelson County Tax list in 1785 when it was still Virginia. His daughter married a Richard Masters and moved to Pike Co, Indiana with some of her brothers. Zacharia is in Nelson County through the 1830 census.

I am descended from James Fowler. I believe he may have been Elizabeth's brother. I would appreciate any information.
