I'm in Ohio, and I know when I was researching my dad's side of the family I was able to get certificates at my county library. They have a super genealogy section and anything I found was just the cost of copying including certificates. It was considerably cheaper than sending away for official copies from Columbus and I didn't really need something with a seal - just the info. Perhaps you have something closer to you that might work in the same way?
I have also found the same names on several trees within Ancestory. But my folks according to Mary Mehealy Hardison Hughes death certificate are John, born in TN, and Anna born in KY. I know there is a brother to Mary named Gabe as I have pictures. I'm waiting to hear from some family this evening to see if they have any breadcrumbs for me to follow..I'm happy to let you know if anything ties in.
