Alva Jr. Cottrell

BEECHMONT ­ Alva Jr. Cottrell, 67,died Monday, Sept. 6
at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Muhlenberg County Dec. 23, 1936, he was a retired
barber and a member of Mud River Union General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Laverna Cottrell; a son, Tony Cottrell
of Morgantown; two daughters, Regina Martin of Morgantown
and Dana Pentecost of Browder; three sisters, Virginia Cook
of Newburg, Ind., Earlene Downing of Louisville and Elva Schroader
of Greenville; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 8 at Mud River Union General
Baptist Churchwith the Rev. Hobart Eaton, the Rev. Gerald Beliles and the
Rev. Brian Haire officiating.
Burial will follow at Mud River Union Cemetery.
Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jr. was my mother's (Brenda) Uncle.Her father was Louis Cottrell. Both Louis and Jr favored each other greatly. any information of the cottrell's would be greatly appreciated.
