Merica Keaton Keeton, age 86 of Fairborn, OH passed away July 15, 2008 in Hospice of Dayton. She was born March 21, 1922 in Moon, KY, the daughter of Spence and Nola (Elkins) Keaton. She is survived by two granddaughters and grandson-in-law, Delores Williams of Fairborn, OH, Darlene and David Matteson of Fairborn; 9 great-grandchildren, Heather Williams, Stephanie Williams, Jennifer Williams, Courtney Williams, Brittany Davis, Daniel Boroff, Toni Matteson, Kalob Matteson and Jacob Matteson; 1 great-great-granddaughter, LeeAnn “Moley” Williams; daughter-in-law Joyce Keeton and step-granddaughter Carolyn Hurd of Fairborn; sisters, Dixie (Wendell) Collier, Columbus, OH, Pauline (James) Cole, Inez, KY and Maxie Rowland, Frankfort, OH; brother Percy (Polly) Keaton, Martha, KY; sister-in-law Zezalee Keaton, Charlie, KY. Merica was preceded in death by her husband Leander “Red” Keeton of 61 years; son, Harold Keeton; sisters, Lois Keaton and Emmy Sparks; brothers Virgil and Hershell Keaton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. July 18, 2008 from the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E. Main Street, Fairborn with Rev. Bobby Jenkins, Garnett Mullins and Jamie Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to time of services in the funeral home.
