DATED 30 APRIL 1864, PROVED 27 JUNE 1864
In the name of God, Amen. I, Jesse Blair, being of sound mind and disposing memory in view of the uncertainty of life do make and publish this my last will and testament. I give and bequeath to each of my children, Anderson Blair, William Blair, David Blair, Elizabeth Caskey, Eliza Day, Gillian Gose, Delila Sargent, Dorothy Perry one dollar each to be paid out of my estate, and it is my will that they have nothing else. In consideration of the love and affection that I have for my grandson, William Day, and the further consideration of the attention and kindness shown me by him in my old days, I hereby give and bequeath to him a tract of land lying in Morgan County, on the water of Devil Fork, containing one hundred acres, it being the tract of land upon which Anderson Blair lives including the improvements or a part of them which tract of land was entered, surveyed and patented in my name. It is my will that my said grandson have this tract of land in consideration of the aforesaid. I hereby give and bequeath same to his possession. I hereby appoint my grandson William Day the Executor of this my last will and testament, and it is my desire that he not be required to tabulate or execute any monies for the performance of his duties.
