Searching for info on John Saylor/Sailor and family that lived in Montgomery County, KY. Settled near Jackson's Mill on the Licking River in the late 1780's or early 1790's. John was a blacksmith and skilled machinist. John and wife Elizabeth ? had the following children: Frederick, Catherine, John JR, Mathias, Jacob, William, Emanuel, and Sarah.
Frederick m. Barbara Strador, Catherine m. David Minear, John JR m. Mary Ann Minear, Emanuel m. Ann Hollett, and Sarah m. Samuel Cobb JR. It is not know if Mathias, Jacob, or William married.
A letter dated 16 June 1823 from William Sailor to Mr. Robert Graham indicated that William was still in Montgomery County..Mount Sterling.
It is believed that John Sailor and Elizabeth stayed in the area and died there. Exact dates unk, but John Sailor had died before 1811. Any help or info most welcome and appreciated. Thank you.
