I am interested in your post about Bassie Ward Compton, your great grandmother, born in Flippin, Monroe Co., KY. You said she married George Washinton Compton & that your grandfather was George Mural Compton. "HE SAYS HIS MOTHER WAS ADOPTED BY A DR. B.J. SMITH OF MONROE CO., KY.

I AM INTERESTED IN THIS "DR. B. J. SMITH". How would I find info. out about him. HE MAYBE the father of 2 of my husband's Uncles.
