Suicide Victim Buried Saturday
Rites for Henry
Fields, 46, suicide victim, were held Saturday afternoon near Red
Lick.
Fields, Edmonton resident, took his life late Friday afternoon by pulling the trigger on a shotgun which he had pointed against his heart. A long stick was used to pull the trigger.
The incident occurred in a cedar grove thicket about one mile from Edmonton and just off the
Columbia road. Oris
Coomer and son-in-law of
Fields were nearby at the time and flagged down
Deputy Sherrif
Dalton Bowles who happened to be passing along the highway.
Fields had been despondent for several days and it is alleged that he had made known his intention of taking his own life.
Besides his wife, he is survived by six children.
