Hi,
I am trying to find some information on my family that lives/d in McLean County. I am trying to find information on Clay Bidwell that married Nannie West. Date of their marriage is unknown. Clay's parents were J.U. Bidwell and Minnie Bates. Would also like information in them. Nannie West's parents are J.W. and Nora West. (Don't know her maiden name) Any information on them? Don't know if the initials mean anything or that was their given names. Not much help am I. I have never done geneology before and am not sure how to begin. Suggestions? Going to the library in Owensboro next week to the KY room which I am told is a very good place to go but I am not sure how to go about looking for info.
Most of my family are buried in New Cypress, Poplar Grove and Worthington Chapel Cemetaries. Don't even know where Worthington Chapel is but would like to find out. I think it is somewhere around Island. Can you suggest any way to find out how to get information on who is buried in those cemetaries because I think that they are family cemetaries for most of the West's and Bidwell's.
