I've traced your Martin Wilson backward in the 1930, 1920, 1910 and 1900 Ballard County KY censuses. As you perhaps know, the 1890 censuses were destroyed by fire in DC. I cannot find him in the 1880 and 1870 censuses in McLean County (nor Muhlenberg County either--McLean was created from Muhlenberg in 1854). Martin died in 1955; have you gotten a death certificate for him to confirm his place of birth? Perhaps Martin was called by a middle name; do you know of another name? A son was Martin Robert. Further, he could have been raised by a family with another surname. Also, are you aware that Nannie was married previously? Martin married her 09 Apr 1894 in Henderson County, KY and she was Nannie Davis. I'm sorry I could not find Martin in the 1870/1880 censuses. I'm Dorann O'Neal Lam and not related.
