3. Alice “Allie” Elizabeth Jones & Thomas Harrison Riley
4. Mary Caroline Clark/Little & Lorenzo Dow “Ran” Jones
5. “Elder” James Jones & (wife 1) Maitlaid Watson & (2) Elizabeth
“Betsy” White.
6. William Copeland, John Copeland and Joshua Short Copeland.
We will hold our 2nd reunion at the Massac Creek Community of Christ on June 21, 2008. The church is located off of 12th street on Com. Park Drive in Metropolis, IL. The time is from 11am- 3 pm and we will have a prayer followed by a potluck meal at noon in the gym. The Jones family will provide ice. There are plenty of plug-ins for crock-pots and warm dishes.
Shortly after lunch we want to make pictures and there will be plenty of time for visiting. I would like to ask for a representative from each branch of the family (Douglas, Jones, Riley, Sharp, Copeland) who would read a list of their families Veterans and mention which branch of service they represented and what war. We have been fortunate to have so many in our combined families who have served or are presently serving and we would like to remember them and their service. Let me know if you are willing to share a word about your family’s contribution.
I didn’t make another DVD movie this year but I am continuing to add to the family scrapbook. If you have any suggestions or contributions please let me know. I can make available more of the 2007 Family History Project DVD if necessary. My contact information is Karen Riley Hall, 4354 Quality Rd., Lewisburg, KY 42256 if you have e-mail then contact me at dkhall85@netscape.com or dkmnlhall@juno.com. My phone # is 270-755-5404.
Let me know what your family would like to contribute and I will compile a list of things we might still need. We had so much to choose from last year and it was really good food.
I have heard from several that they plan to attend and I am looking forward to getting to visit more this year. I am sure we will have some different faces this year and getting to know some of you better.
I know that some will not be able to make it but I do look forward to seeing several there. Make plans to attend if you can.
I have recent pictures of the Graham Family tombstones located in Grahamville, KY as well as some old family portraits. I only have one picture of William and Margaret's children made when they were much older. In it are Julia Effie Graham Douglas, her brother John Graham, sister Emily Graham Smith, and others. I also have some marriage documents for this family.
