Surnames: Doutheet, Douthitt, Hudnet, Hodnett, McKenney, McKinney
In 1812 Daniel McKINNEY'S will was probated in Scioto County, Ohio. But he had been an earlier settler in Mason County, Kentucky where he owned land.

In his will he mentions that three acres on the west fork of Lamistone Creek [Limestone? Creek] should go to the widow [un-named!] of his brother, William McKINNEY.

Daniel McKINNEY had been b. ca 1744 in Washington County, Pennsylvania [some researchers say he was b. in Ireland] and m1 Permelia Doutheet. They moved to Kentucky, had several children, and he was captured by the Indians. His wife, thinking that he was dead, married again and lived in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

Daniel McKINNEY returned to Kentucky and m2 Mary Hudnet 18 Jun 1792 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. They then settled in Mason County for some years before settling permanently in Scioto County, Ohio.

My primary interest is in Daniel's brother, William, and the widow (of William) who was still living in 1812. Is there anyone researching this line who can help me with information on this family?

Thank you.
