I believe the Gabriel Washburn you refer to is GW, Jr. His father, Gabriel Washburn, Sr. was married to Prescilla McSwain. Another of their children was Josiah Washburn, born about 1779 in North Carolina, who was my great, great, great grandfather. I have found no reference to Winny. I have other information on Josiah's line of the family if you're interested.
