I'm sorry that you didn't know that she was still living. She was a very intelligent lady! She dressed up everyday! Her mother was Anna Mary Pike. I remember her talking about it. I believe it she was Margaret's sister. I do have an ancestry tree on paper that was completed by my uncle who was Mary Regina's son. I will get to it and fill in some blanks for you as soon as possible. Lou Ann

I wish we had known she was still alive and we would have visited her.
I am a little confused on the obit though....it says her Mother was Anna Mary Pike.....I have her as Annie Mary Browning...Elias was married 3 times and one of the wives was Margaret Pike.
I have very little information on this family....I have nothing on Ola, Louis Malcolm, Clarabelle, Elizabeth, George, Alton and Charles.....can you fill in any of the blanks? Thanks in advance.

Hello, my grandmother was Mary Regina Hughes daughter of Elias and Charlotte Anne Costello. We kept in touch and visited with Helen Gertrude Hughes often because she had no other close family. Helen had been in excellent health until this past year. Helen never married. My uncle Bertrand Cecil took her to church and was very close to her. Helen went everywhere until recently! Helen was a very smart women. She was buried at Calvery Cemetery in Louisville, Ky.

Lou Ann Cecil Duvall

I haven't talked to you in awhile. I wonder if you are aware that Elias had a daughter to die a couple of weeks ago. I was totally shocked when I saw the obit, would have never have thought about any of them still being alive....she was 99.

He is shown on the Marion County, Kentucky 1910 Federal Census as the adopted son of Henry H Reynierson and wife Victoria (Wallace) Reynierson. He may have been a relative of his adoptive parents. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

I have found 2 records of Ann Abel or Abell one is born in 1818(the one I know I am related to) and one is born in 1822. One person put down that her father was a William Abel or Abell. Another put down that it was Elizabeth Mattingly's daughter. Can you help me clear this up?

I don't have any info on William but if I find some I will let you know.
Richard also had a son Elijah born 1829.
Carole
Don't know if this matters to you or not, but Augustine Cissell/Cecil was on St. Mary's County, MD census in 1800. I think he arrived in Washington County, KY in 1801. Washington County was split from Nelson County in 1792. I think the area where Augustine lived is now Marion County, which was taken from Washington County in 1834.

I am needing someone that is in the Marion County area to do a lookup if possible, as records on Ancestry have not been helpful in my search. I am looking for a birth record for a Samuel David Morgason. Per family information, he was born in Marion Co., KY May 3, 1893. I have searched the record on ancestry and did not find his birth, so I am wondering if he was possibly born in 1892 - of which there is no image available on ancestry. Morgason has been found to have been spelled a number of different ways, to include Morgeson, Morgerson, Morganson, etc. His mother was Elvira Gray and we beileve his father to have possibly been "Florence" Morgason. I would like to see if it is possible to find a marriage record for his parents. Also, possibly a death record for Florence (estimated to have died 1894-1898). Thank you to anyone willing to help.
Alicia Woolridge Morgason
abcm191c@one-eleven.net

Alexander was the 4th child of ARchbald Brown born abt 1770 in North Carolina. The famil arrived in Washington Co KY abt 1802. I do not know the name of the first wife of Archibald. They had 5 children: James born 1797 in North Carolina; Margaret born 1801 in North Carolina, Francis Marion born 1803 in Kentucky; Alexander born 1804 in Kentucky and and unknown male born about 1808 in Kentucky.
Archibald remarried to Deborah Smothers in 1809 and had no living children with her. He remarried again, to widow Edith Robertson, who brough 2 daughters into the household--Isheela and Seba-- both born between 1811-1815. Archbald had 3 children with Edith: Debby born abt 1822, Dianna born about 1825 and David born about 1827.
Family lore says that Archibald's father was Archibald Brown born about 1745 in North Carolina who died of smallpox in 1781 as the family was leaving South Carolina. This part of the history is questionable.
I have narrowed the search for death records of Fred B. Wallace to between late 1901 to 1907. His widow, Jemima Elizabeth Blythe Wallace, remarried in 1908. My father, Fred W. Wallace, was a son of Fred B. and Jemima Wallace. If you have any further information on dates of the robbery/murder on the train track, burial location, our family would like to hear more. Thanks for your reply.
All I can say is that Phyllis, if still living, is about 74 years old. Vera is listed with middle initial "L" on 1920 census and she did not die as a Morrison in Coles County if she did not leave the area.

There is a Vera Louise Calentine born 1915 died 06 May 2009 buried at Dodge Grove Plot: SEC.: 15, Div.: G, Grv. Spc.: 4-gr.5 owner Clifford Calentine. Clifford Calentine 1909 - 15 Nov 1971. I do not find a Vera Calentine in census records for 1940. Clifford lived in Mattoon in 1940 wife Charlene born abt 1912 they are listed together in Mattoon directories through 1960. Clifford died in Rochelle, Ogle Co.

I am finding a Vera L Colbert living in Mattoon in the late 1940's through 1960 wife of Clifford Lloyd Colbert, directory listings lived at 820 DeWitt Ave in 1960. Clifford was born 09 May 1914 died in Mattoon Sept 1985. As it turns out his wife was Vera Leona 1916 - 2004 both buried Dodge Grove.

Jas H Morrison and Vera L Morrison listed in Mattoon directory in 1942 lived at 1608 Olive he was employed at Meadow Gold Dairy as a bottler. James' mother listed at 2320 Moultrie without F H Morrison son Edmond E lived with her. James H Morrison is not listed in Dodge Grove cemetery.
