Hello, I am working on the stone family now. I just started looking for documentation so I haven't gotten very far. My gggggrandfather was Charles Stone, son of Enoch, son of Cudabeth or Cudberth. I am finding it a difficult line to trace. I will let you know if I find anything.

I am looking for the family of Jennie Stone who married
Thomas Alonzo Nichols. I found them in the 1900
Magoffin Co. census and can find no lead on Jennie
Stones family. Would there be a connection to your
family? Any help would be appreciated.

Tammy, I to have found the Cuthberth Stone a hard family to trace. You will find Cuthberth and Sally Sisson on familysearch.org. It will list thier children. My great-grandfather was a Cuthbert Stone that married a Mahala Eldridge in Floyd Co. KY. They had a son named Samuel b. abt 1880/1881. I am trying to track down that part of the family. I think that Cutberth died before 1906 and Mahala married a younger man named Bloomfield. I just haven't found exact proof of this yet. If I can be of further assistance to you, please let me know. After all, we are distant cousins.

Hi, this is my Stone family.My line is Thelma Stone Zornes,(my Mom)Floyd K. Stone, Cuthberth Stone Jr. married Clarenda Arnett, in Magoffin Co.; Cuthberth Stone who married Sally Sisson. He was in American Revolution. I would like to know how is Cuthberth Stone senior's father. I would like also to know what cementary he is buried in around Magoffin Co. My grandfather Floyd Stone's dad Cuthberth died when grandpa was about 4/5 yrs. old. Cuthberth was then married to Sarah Elizabeth Pierce Stone.They had 2 sons, Floyd & Hollis, 4 daughters I believe. She then after Cuthberth death married Thomas Theodore Carver.
I live in Lewis Co. born raised here and can't find much on Cuthberth Stone and his family. Hi, this is my line as well. Cuthberth Stone married Sally Sisson, was in American Revolution and had a son Cuthberth married Clarenda Arnett in Magoffin Co. I think these guys are my GG grandfather and ggrandfather. My grandfather was Floyd Stone, son of Cuthberth Stone and Sarah Elizabeth Pierce. My Floyd was b. 1896 in Lewis Co. I would love to know who was the father to the elder Cuthberth Stone and who were his siblings and children. I know very little and yes he seems to be elusive. Somewhere on here I read he was a messenger in the New Salem Baptist Church somewhere in Magoffin Co. Hope this helps.
