Thank you so much for your help! I believe my husband, Zack, has mentioned speaking with you before on the Cummins family. I cannot remember how he said you two were connected however! The Cummins family is kind of like my Rogers family on my father's side, we are related to so many people in this area it's hard to keep track of who and how! I am probably going to try to make it back to the cemetery myself in the next month or so, but I do appreciate you offering to look as well. A second pair of eyes never hurt. Thanks again!

I am related to the Cummins family too - my mother's grandmother. We were just there on Thanksgiving, so I probably won't be back that way until spring... but will keep this in mind and let you know if I discover anything. I don't think I'll forget, but please feel free to refresh my memory with another note about mid-March. -- Carla

Yes it is the Friendship Methodist Church. I am looking for 3 graves that either are unmarked or only marked with blank stones. The names are Dorthy Francis Cansler, Wanda Louise Cansler, and Woodrow Cash Cansler. They were my mother's older siblings that all died at or shortly after birth. On their death certificates it states they are buried at the Friendship Cemetery in Lyon County and my mother says my grandmother had shown her where they were buried there (in one of the corners near a tree.) My husband is a Cummins who has family buried there, so I have been there many times yet I have not been able to find the three graves I'm looking for. I tried contacting Morgan's Funeral Home here in Princeton to see if they still had burial records for them since they were listed on the death certificates as doing the burials, but I never recieved a response. They all died in the mid to late 1930's. We would like to mark their graves with their names, but need to find exactly where they are located in the cemetery. If you can be of any help I would greatly appreciate any information you could provide. Thank you for your response!

Thanks,

This is my brickwall for the Vest family. I have been looking in 1850 and 1860 in Kentucky and Tennessee with no luck on where he may of come from. I guess I need to start a more defined search and maybe see if my wife's father would be willing to do a DNA test to possibly narrow it down.

Thanks again for looking.

Fred Feldman

I am looking for anything on John Vest(married to Mary Mildred Stills). He was listed in the 1870 Census and 1880 Census in Lyon County. My assumption is that he settled in Lyon County after the end of the Civil War. He was born between 1830 and 1833 approximately, in either Kentucky or Tennessee. I am leaning toward Tennessee as his place of birth. His son's census entries in later years had Tennessee as their father's birthplace most of the time.

Here is a link to what I have so far, any help would be appreciated.

http://www.feldmanfamily.ws/genroot/getperson.php?personID=I...

Thanks

Fred Feldman
fred@feldmanfamily.ws

Just to set the record straight. Billy Darrell was my father. This may sound picky but I'm so tired of seeing our name written wrong. The P in Dupriest is not capital. This is something my grandmother started. Don't know if it made her feel like that made the name look more important or what the reasoning was. No one may ever see this but just in case they do, she is the only one in our family that uses a capital P in our last name

I am looking for someone who would be able to tell me specific grave locations that are possibly unmarked burials at the Friendship Cemetery in Lyon Co. My mother has 3 siblings that died as infants in the 1930's and we know they were buried at the Friendship Cemetery according to their death certificates but we do not know the location of their graves. Does anyone know who I could contact that could help me with this information? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
