Myra Russell Smith Thompson, 67, of Benton and formerly of Eddyville, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at 8:25 a.m. at Marshall County Hospital in Benton.

She was a daughter of the late Russell Raymond and Virginia Glass Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Glenn Thompson; a daughter, Amy Peacock of Smithland; two sons, Allen Peacock of Cadiz and Brad Thompson of Benton; a stepson, Michael Thompson of Paducah; a stepdaughter, Tammy Langston of Benton; two sisters, Laura Whitney of Hudson, Wisc., and Dinah Roberts of San Marino, Calif.

Graveside services will be conducted for Mrs. Thompson Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Eddyville with the Rev. Jessie Johnson officiating.

Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
