Kenny Yates, 39, of Marion and formerly of Kuttawa, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 10:48 a.m. at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton.
A member of Hopewell Baptist Church, he was a son of Homer Lynn and Maybelle Downing Yates of Kuttawa.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jake Ryan Yates in 1990; and a brother, James Homer Yates.
Survivors in addition to his parents include a daughter, Katilyn Yates of Marion; a stepson, Gary Beebe of Marion; three stepdaughters, Trissa Beebe, Breana Beebe and Kelsey Riley, all of Marion; two brothers, Edward Yates of Kuttawa and Stacey Yates of Burna; four sisters, Rosell Knight, Phyllis Dycus and Connie Lyons, all of Kuttawa, and Marlena Hamby of Eddyville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 5, at 1 p.m. at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville. The Rev. Jeremy Short and the Rev. Carl Nelson will officiate.
Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. (Lyon Co., Ky.)
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
