Velma Lucille Barnes, 72, of Eddyville and formerly of Between the Rivers, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at 11:21 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
A daughter of the late Clarence Wallace and Mamie Hill Gentry, she attended Faith Fellowship Assembly Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble Barnes, in 1997; a brother, William Donnie Gentry; and a sister, Lois Krider.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandy Engler, Annette Lubben and Amy Peek, all of Eddyville, and Rita Tidwell of Grand Rivers; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 2, at 11 a.m. at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville.
The Rev. Harold Hatfield and the Rev. Kenny Morrow will officiate the service for Mrs. Barnes.
Burial will follow in Dickerson Cemetery in Land Between the Lakes.
