Mrs. Bertha Holland, 99, of Eddyville, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at 4 p.m. at River’s Bend Retirement Center in Kuttawa.
A homemaker and member of the Eddyville First Baptist Church and the Philathea Sunday School Class, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Walker and Sadie Helen Brown Glass.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, A.B. Holland; and four sisters, Beulah Ladd, Ruby Larkins, Pauline Ethridge and Dorothy Sedberry.
Survivors include a cousin, Raymond Brown of Kuttawa; two nieces, Dale White of Eddyville and Barbara Finley of Guthrie; and five nephews, Jack Larkins, Thomas Autry and Alfred Sedberry, all of Hopkinsville, Alfred Ladd of Decatur, Ala., and L.G. Sedberry of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville.
The Rev. Tim Perdue officiated the service for Mrs. Holland.
Burial followed in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Old Eddyville in Lyon County.
