I am looking for relatives of Nancy Jane Cheek b. 1885. Nancy was probably born in TN or Laurel or Clay Co. KY. She married William Franklin Cheek, son of FLoyd Cheek and Mary Jones. He was b. Jan 1885 in Kentucky.
She is the daughter of Elizabeth Petree and Robert Cheek.
Elizabeth was b. 1856 in TN. She married Robert Cheek 8-14-1972 in Clairborne County, TN.
I have found some info on the Petree Family. I am looking for siblings of Nancy Jane Cheek and also her mother's family. I have been told her father's name was Thomas Jones, but haven't confirmed that.
I also have Callahan relatives that were born in KY also, but I don't have any info on which county.
Any information you have that connects with me, I would appreciate very much!

My father's first wife was Alice Petree and my half-sisters and brother were somehow related to Cheeks. I am sorry I do not know anything further about connections. However, in 2002 or 3 I was in London visiting a Rush relative and was told that there were related Cheeks still in the area--around Burnside, I believe--at least somewhere along Hwy 25--may have been Pittsburg community. I know there are connections, but the Petree clan has been quite elusive. Hope this at least gives you some hope that there are connections still living in the area
