Larue county has record of a marriage between H. T. Bradley and M. A. Carrico dated May 13, 1863. As best as I can make out, the "Authority" column of the book reads:
Bradley of age
cut from mother
of lady proved by
Raymon Carrico
I believe George Washington Bradley was a son of this union, his death certificate lists his parents as Thos. Bradley and Margaret Carico.
Specifically interested in any information about this marriage/proof I'm on the right track.
Generally interested in anyone having seen similar language in other places. For instance, what is a "cut?" There were some other marriage records that had loose leaf sheets of paper where parents seem to write a short note approving the marriage.
