I am looking for info on Alex Cox, b. Oct. 17, 1876, d. Jan. 23, 1964, who married Mattie Trosper, b. Nov. 17, 1881, d. Mar. 11, 1969. Mattie was the daughter of Demcy Trosper and Mary Ann Rogers. According to family stories, Alex's parents (unknown) died when Alex was young. Demcy and Mary Ann Trosper then took him in and raised him. Alex and Mattie then ran off to Jellico and got married, and I believe Mattie was quite young when this occurred. I have been unable to locate the parents of Alex in any census info. I am assuming he was from the Knox Co./Bell Co. area. Does anyone have info on Alex's parents and/or siblings?
