In case anybody looks at this post FIFTH GENERATION # 16 is all mixed up because of bad info in the Mitchell Hall book. James "Lemill" Ward (B.1755)never lived in MARTIN CO. or on Rockcastle Creek. That was "Pioneer" James Ward (B. 1758). They are two separate families as far as my research and Billie Edyth Ward's "Ward Geneological Record" finds. MLK Wells he referrs to is talking about Pioneer James who settled in what is now Inez Ky., the county seat of Martin Co. He was married to Elizabeth Williamson. This is very easy to document. Just go to KY.GOV and look for KY Historical Markers. "Pioneer" James Ward's marker can be read on-line...or you can drive to Martin Co. and see it in front of the old courthouse in Inez. Pioneer's Rev War record is also on-line. Just type James Ward Rev. War. Pension Application in Yahoo and it will come up. ---Hall got the two Ward's kids all messed up too putting some of Pioneer's and James Lemill's together. ---- My grandmother was Pioneer's ggrandaughter and my papaw was James Lemill's ggrandson. They said Lemill's group was from Penn and Pioneer's was from NC. I'm still searching for evidence that
