I am looking for information on Mr. Solger. According to the cookbook, "Out Of Kentucky Kitchens", he was a caterer in the Gay Nineties in Louisville, Ky. He coined the phrase "sippages" for alcoholic drinks. I am trying to find out more about him and the meaning or term of "sippages" but get no references.

Could he have been chef or caterer for the famous Brown Hotel in that era?
