Dora M. Browning age 88 of Connersville passed away Friday June 26, 2009 at the Brookville Healthcare Center. She was born August 29, 1920 in
Jackson County,
KY the daughter of the late William Henry
Davidson and Delilah Anna
Davis Davidson. She came to Connersville in 1949. She is a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and had served as a member and president of the Women’s Missionary Group. She was a homemaker and had also worked many years in home health care. She enjoyed cooking, canning, raising flowers and visiting with friends and family. She is survived by her husband Clyde
Browning to whom she was married July 26, 1941 in
McKee,
KY. She is also survived by two daughters, Marjorie White, Connersville; Betty & William H. Wilson, Metamora; her nephew whom she raised, Gary & Kathy
Browning, Connersville; a step daughter in law Alice
Parrett, Connersville; 28 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son William
Herschel Browning; two brothers James
Davidson and Robert Davidson; four sisters Telitha Peak; Marie Saylor;
Mahala Davidson; and Mary Elizabeth Davidson; a step son Harold Parrett; and a son in law, Robert E. White. Funeral services will be conducted at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with her grandson Rev. David
Wilson, Rev. Randy
Sherwood and Rev. Steve
Stalker officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M.
