I am looking for information on the Merz and Bowen families that lived in Dawson Springs, Hopkins County, KY in the early 1920s. Elijah Bowen, his wife Margaret Elizabeth Spencer Bowen, and their children(Alger, Callie, Tisha, James, Pearl and Evalena)were supposed to have had a boarding house in the town at that time. On May 1, 1921, Tisha married John George Merz of Louisville, KY in the town of Princeton. The Bowens did not approve of the match because John Merz was Catholic and they were Baptist. John Merz was supposed to have run a five and dime store in the town which went bust after a brief time. Tisha gave birth to twins there in December of 1921 who died due to being premature. The twins were supposed to be buried in Rosedale Cemetery. Where is this cemetery? If you know anything of these families or the location of the cemetery please reply. Thank you for your time.
