Classification: Query
Surnames: Willingham, Mays, Mattingly
My g-grandfather was Edgar Lee Willingham, and my grandfather was Phineas Ira Willingham. I am trying to research more about Maggie J Mays. I currently have that she was one of 10 children (1880 census) and the daughter of William G Mays and Abbagail (Abbie) ...Morin?...Mullins?...Morris? William G.' parents were Mary E. Mattingly and William Mays married 1836 in Breckenridge Co. KY I am especially interested in any reference to Native American heritage. Phineas told my mother we had "Indian blood,(Cherokee)" in us but told her it wasn't anything she needed details about. Now it's lost to us if there was any truth to it!

If you have any information about her line or pictures you would like to share, I would appreciate it! Thanks!
