Anna Louise Hooks Hamby, Age 78 of Troy, OH died September 9, 2009 at Harborside Health Care Center, Troy. Born September 5, 1931 in Harlan, KY to Hubert and Helen (Coffey) Hooks. Anna was a shift manager and supervisor for many years with All Service Plastics Molding, Dayton where she was known as "Weezie". She was the Elder Beerman Northwest Housewares Department Head for many years as well. She spent many happy hours quilting and her friends at Harborside affectionately knew her as "Anna Banana". She is preceded in death by her husband Leamon Hamby; three sisters Margaret, Mary and Carolyn and two brothers William and Elmer. Surviving are her children Barbara (Joseph) Kavalauskas, Tipp City, OH; Michael Hamby, Dayton, OH and Doug (Debi) Hamby, Dayton; one brother Okalee (Norma) Hooks of WA; five grandchildren Jessica, Emma, Stephen, and Joshua Hamby all of Dayton and Olivia Kavalauskas of Tipp City and one great grandson Michael. Memorial services will be held 8:00 pm September 15, 2009 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 West Main Street, Tipp City, OH 45371. Reverend Mary Benson Landau officiating. Family will recieve friends from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Hospice of Dayton in Anna's memory.
