I don't know if there's much sense in replying to this post or not.

It seems Kissiah / Kizziah Goodman / Blevins is a mystery to many. I have long suspected that my Great Great Grandmother Hester Madden Yates' mother is Kizzy Madden and that Kizzy Madden is the same lady as Kizziah Goodman / Kissiah Blevins.

That one of the posts I've found mention a Poly Ann and Nancy Maden applying for a pension from Daniel Blevins in 1853 in Rockcastle County makes me think all the more that for Kissiah at least the surnames Goodman / Blevins / Madden are linked.

To add more details for those that are researching Blevins, Kizzy Madden lived in Harlan County with her daughter Hester Madden Yates (m Andrew Valentine Yates) in 1860.

Kizzy Madden m. unknown

daughter Debra Madden b 1816
son Champion Madden b 1823
daughter Hester Ann Madden b 1827
son Jacob Madden b 1827

Or perhaps Kizzy was an old maid auntie of these families?
